  4. lol ^

    Yeah same shit

I really hope we get a Detox single before christmas but it looks bad currently. Fifty's new album is supposed to come out next month but he has no single which is gonna delay all the releases of Aftermath. We hopefully we get at least War Music and The Decision EP by Dawaun Parker!

  5. I have a feeling 50's new album is going to have that Dre-featured Psycho joint. I may be wrong but we'll see. He keeps swearing it's coming out 4th quarter/December but with no album title, single, anything, I'm really wondering if he's just in denial.

But anyway what news do you expect from Detox? There are only so many articles repeating the same thing because magazines, radio DJ's, and TV people keep asking about it. It isn't as if Dre, Snoop, Kendrick, or Slim are going out of their way to "update" us. They're in the studio working on it, other dudes are working on it, and it's been that way for a while. If there is real news or picked a single, they're not going to waste time and just come out and say it. Perfecting an album and working in the studio isn't interesting because nothing changes until it's at that final stretch. What could Slim or anyone honestly say that's different when someone asks them about Detox?

  6. The only news I expect from Detox is it's status. It would be nice for Dre to come out and just say " I know I mentioned a year ago that 2 or three more songs ..... mixing process .... 30 days out ...... BUT ... I think that we as fans deserve an explanation on the albums status if it's not finished then it's not finished . Just give us the truth that's it. I think that that would probably please alot of people especially on this blog and there would be alot less doubter's and pissed off people. What happened to Die Hard? the truth about the Psycho? 2 music videos and an exclusive snippet We all had our hopes up. Is there really a Detox ? That's all that I expect from a fans perspective. Not angry, just disappointed like alot of the other fans here. We just want to know . We are buying the headphones, for me maybe because of the thought of hearing Detox with them( I'm sure that's part of the plan. We've bought the countless albums show us some love! Still a huge Dre fan and fan of UZEE's blog

  7. is it me or do any interviews slim the mobster does sound the exact same as for detox as much as i agree with what people are saying about dre being honest with his fans as to what stage the albums at this is a valid point but its not going to happen ,the best hip hop producer ever he is without doubt punctual and true to his promises with release dates his not ...i dont agree with him leading people ,his fans especially but the situation is what it is and it wont be released until hes happy with it in my own oponion if its not released in 2012 i dont think its goin to be but i could be completely wrong

  10. Typical Aftermath....Been promoting War Music with a track called Back Against the Wall with slim and dre and the tracklist gets released today and the track is nowhere to be found.....nice label, typical aftermath....fuck these niggers im done with this bullshit...

  11. Well what a fucking surprise. No Dre on this mixtape even though they promised it. Same thing as with the Red album.

The guys who run this label should get fired. No respect for the fans. Fuck this! I just hope the Top Dawg guys don't sign with this label because it will just cause more problems. They have a good connection with the fans and they deliver!

  12. It's pretty goddamn dumb since he spoke of this particular track for a minute now but look at R.E.D.: no Dead People joint because Dre obviously didn't finish it, Interscope/Game ran out of patience, and they only have so many windows every few months to put a major album out. Slim's mixtape has no sign of any Dre executive producer credit either. Surprised? Not really. Disappointed? I guess but whatever. Look at the tracklist: only ten joints and over half of them are already out - only four new songs! Big fucking deal. War Music isn't going to do shit because it doesn't bring anything - he diluted his entire mixtape by releasing most of it one-by-one to average response.

Did anyone ever think these guys play up the Dre involvement on their projects just to create hype and word of mouth when they never had any realistic intention of having any Dre on their shit? I'm starting to think this is less about Dre being too lazy (which he still is) to finish by the deadline but more about these Aftermath guys just getting his name out there next to theirs knowing it's probably not happening. Game played up this reunification with Dre/Aftermath for a LONG time only for us to find out R.E.D. has zero Dre production and zero executive producer credits when he implied the opposite. The CD wasn't even released off Aftermath. It had a narration by Dre and a Dre-feature but it was on a Khalil joint and an old ass Detox throwaway that didn't even sound finished.

Also remember: Aftermath is a small operation but everyone treats it like it's a big label. It's not and never was meant to be that way. Aftermath is a boutique label with extremely minimal high-profile releases, that's why they only have one new talent at a time and they can't even devote enough to get those dudes through! There's no resources at Aftermath, not a lot of in-house producers, and you guys have to remember that shit + Dre doesn't put out anything on his label that he doesn't personally approve.

Prestige doesn't equal big. It's like comparing a high-end boutique shop on Sunset Boulevard to JC Penny. I can understand that people like Dre just have no time or resources to juggle so many at once, especially when they're probably way consumed with Detox on and off for years, and all those guys there are working only for Dre to get THAT shit done and nothing else. I bet when Detox does get pushed out you'll start to see the dam break over there and a lot more resources actually going to new talent. It's not a secret that over there everyone's main priority is Detox, not Slim, not Bishop, not Kendrick, not 50, not anything else.

  16. That new Slim joint out "Take It Easy" has a beat sort of similar to that one that you may enjoy. It was that instrumental that played at the end of his previous videos with the logo.

2001 was classic and it worked because Dre was completely focused, had Mel-Man co-producing every joint, and had a solid concept for that whole record to evolve gangsta rap. Everyone was making that one having a good time, partying, no bullshit, no distractions, and Dre was on a mission to prove he can come back and still have it. After Death Row up until Eminem, he was looked upon as pretty washed up. It's a very different dynamic than Detox for so many reasons I can't even begin to start explaining it. When Detox is finally out, people will complain and succumb to the impossible hype at its worst, but I know after time when that wears off people will appreciate that record a lot more. 2001 was a different time, a different industry, and had room for a lot more innovation that hadn't existed before it.

  17. not diggin what ive heard off slim the mobster so far ,southcental blues best of a bad lot to be honest ..i heard couple of wks ago the doc said promotion for detox likely to start november and that detox was likely to have between 12 -20 tracks i have my doubts on both i think most of us would settle for detox in 2012 i hope it is 20 tracks long i know the 12 works with the 12 steps for the detox theme but im hoping for more than that

  18. Snoop Feat Dre - Imagine was the last classic song Dre did. I love that sound Dre had during that time. I really hope he can bring that magic back and give it a fresh twist. Only time will tell

I hope this Back against the wall song that everybody is talking about is good...

  19. I've heard from a while ago that Dre did a whole Detox in the vain of Imagine, a joint I also still really dig, but Jimmy knocked that shit down and told Dre the CD needed to have more upbeat joints. Total shame since that's a classic beat and those piano loops with the hard snare is signature Dre at his best.

Now that Jordane kept his promise and Back Against the Wall has hit, I hope all the faggots whining against Dre and Detox can savor it since it's a sign of good things to come. Dre is ready to come back, Detox is coming, and all the right people are on it. Perfection done right takes patience otherwise why are they even waiting for Detox in the first place? I've waited 6-7 years and I'll wait more for a perfect last record from him. When it comes people are going to forget all about the frustration, Dre knows that, and for once be thankful he sacrificed so much work, time, and even his reputation for so long to give it to us. There is more music out there than Detox to keep you held over anyway, it's just something to look forward to.

  21. hey young world is the track and the beat is dope best ive heard in a long time and i heard that back against the wall track to and i couldnt agree more with the post above me AVERAGE sums it up best... we should all remember that slim the mobsters mixtape and detox are on opposite sides of the scale ,slim is trying to come out and create some buzz without any dre production as much as he would like it b because we all know dres times tied up on detox ,dre on the other hand is trying to make an album that changes the game and sets a new trend in hip hop much like chronic and 2001 did , my only fear for detox is that dre gives out production on this album too much 1 or 2 hot dj khalil beats would be dope but i hope most of the production he does him self so it has that classic dre sound ..
