  1. This is BIG. He seems like a really cool guy. He might wanna think twice about where he's signing, though. :/

  2. dre likes working with people who aren't popular at the moment? the fuck? then why does he have his first single with guys like Snoop Doog and Akon, and second with Eminem and Skylar Grey? somebody can explain this?

  3. he means working with upcoming talent in general. Doesnt mean Dre uses them for his 1st single, always.

Notice a pteern when Dre releases his own albums, same time the new artist releases his new album too. Chronic was in line with Doggystyle. Chroic 2001 was in line with Eminem 1st albym too.

Same could happen with Detox, a new artists 1st album could be released at the same time.

And who said the 2nd single IS 'i need a doctor'. It is confirmed by Dre.

  4. Dre says this. Dre says that. Where's the music. Where's the leadership? Dre signs X, Dre signs Y. Who's still on his label? Dr. Dre is ovbe people. This album will have some good songs on it. It has to! Everyone else seems to be producing/writing it. You have to have some good tracks outta a hundred tried efforts! Let some NEW producers thru the game. Stop praising a has done/been. Move on ya'll. Gangsta rap is dying a slow death. Word.

  6. maybe but cant really say - dont think any other tracks will be used for commercials.

The HP Beats laptop commercial had 'under pressure' beat too. And the teack had leaked before the advert i think.

But i wouldn't think too much about it.

  7. For the individiual who said gangster rap is dying...

First of all, you should know this by now that Dr.Dre doesnt rush into anything. Wheres the music? His music is coming and for the past 10 years he hasn't just been sitting on his ass, he's been producing super stars and great music for lots of top names. And how can you say where's the leadership. He signs new artists and producers and works with them to make them better.

Second, yes its true he's signed a number of artists over the years who have eventually left the aftermath label with no album. But, as many have said, you have to be able to click with dre in order to work with him. You have to be patient and have a great work ethic, something many artists now a days lack.

Third, anyone who knows anything about producing music knows it doesnt just take one person to put an album out. You have to have a team and work with other people. Dre is an incredible producer and one of the reasons he is is the fact that he acknowleges you need others to make a song great. In the end, he gets the final decision as to what sounds the best.

Gangster rap is not dying a slow death. Since the original gangster rap came out they are still classic songs that will never die. How can you say something is over when everyone in the world tries to imitate its sound. The westcoast was on a break, and now its coming back with dre
