Dr Dre "used mainly the vocal and then he put his own beats on it" LA Roux sample

La Roux singer Elly Jackson told the BBC how the rap legend first heard the hit while watching US show Entourage. "He got really excited about the track which is obviously really complimentary. He did something with it and then sent it to us and said can he use for his record and we said 'yes',” she explained.

"Apparently he and The Game, this is a really hilarious image for me, were sitting watching Entourage together."

"[He's used] mainly the vocal and then he put his own beats on it. It's supposed to be on the next record."

  2. erm nooo...^ not surprised by sum1 not noticing the difference with this updated post.

In this one it highlights that mostly vocals of LA Roux were taken. Otherwise most of us, would be assuming that it was the beat he took.

Hip Hop is based on sampling, so there's nothing new and nothing to be ashamed of...
Some producers sample nina simone and others sample rolling stones. The only thing that matters is to make a good beat. So did Dre when he sampled the rolling stones or sugarhill gang.

So he makes his own beats...

    Peace

  10. Only morans would assume dre sampled the beat but hey....this is a free blog right? Keep ignoring the too short story good work youre a real newspaper man now. Well see when detox drops which posts were from insiders and who lives in ireland and speculates.

  11. ^ half ass attempt at being clever? At least add some substance... Just eluding to Game doesn't make u cool. Now go jump off a cliff, u get 300 more points if u hit the jagged rocks. yOoo Uzee. Check out this YouTube video by scarscape/ detox snippets. I think the very first snip is verified to b played on aftermath radio and might possibly b the best/most promising detox beat I've heard thus far... Minus topless :P as for the other beats... Who knows... They might b fakes but they aren't half bad..but not detox worthy. And dre if u love me u will have crooked I (quater of slaughterhouse) ghost write ur lyrics cuz slim Tha phsychopath ain't cuttin it.... I could do a better job and I'm not even black. :O!!
