Post-Grammy views of 'I Need a Doctor'

After the Grammys, the single has moved back up - to 2nd spot.

The GRAMMY performance has also gained the attention of several celebrities, including praise from Kelly Clarkson and Shirley Manson from Garbage.

Kelly Clarkson “I have been so tired of music lately….Finally, Dr. Dre comes out with something so great. His new song “I Need A Doctor” feat Eminem and Skylar Grey is a fresh taste of what music has the capability of being….I’m inspired and loving every second of this song.”

Shirley Manson “Why didn’t they ever show ….Skylar Grey’s…. face during my darling angel Eminem and Dre’s slot?!?!? It was very weird….especially as she is incredibly beautiful AND (more importantly) responsible for writing two of the most killer choruses in POP this last year or so. Talented AND gorgeous? Why sit on that?!??!?!”

  1. Hello everybody,

I want to thank you Uzee for that wonderful blog and I want to thank the fans who shared their thoughts on Dr Dre. Despite the fact that I'm a hardcore fan of Dre, I learned a lot about west coast hip hop because of that blog.

I feel like, for me, there is nothing more to say about Detox and Dr Dre. I'm waiting until it hit the stores then I wil buy it and I will be able to make my own opinion.

Until then, I wish you(Uzee & fans)the best and I hope that nobody will be disappointed by Detox. Thanx to you once again.

    Peace

  7. Here's a thought.
The rap game is turning white again.
Deathrow broke thru this barrier and released 2 of the biggest west coast classic LP's that will never be reeched again. Now Dre has teamed with Jimmy, and it's all back to the white mans motivation. Corporate Greed.
Living on the talent of the biggest MC in History. Dre just on the ride.

  16. Red Wiggle wow how original What's a matter can't come up with any of your own true thoughts tell us how you really feel. Dre is not riding anything. He is the reason why Eminem is who he is today. And the list goes on Snoop, Game, Easy E, Ice Cube, D.O.C . N.W.A. Dre doesn't have to release anything. He doesn't owe you shit. The reason he's with Eminem is because there's nobody better. Dre only rolls with the best. Yes I happen to be white. I think you need to do your fuckin homework. You and all the other Dre haters need to stay off UZEE'S blog. Your shit's geting repetative. We get the point. Your a hater. Now your hatin on the label. Who do you like. Any Race,Color can be a fan of hip hop. You apparently don.t know shit about real hip hop. How can you not call Under Pressure real hip hop. Hip Hop originated from the techno/electro sound back in the 80's.Just look up Dre's work in the mid 80s. If I were you I wouldn't worry too much about DETOX. I'm sure there will be plenty of LiL Wayne albums to go around for you. From one of the real true HIP HOP and DRE fans of UZEE's blog site.

  25. Who's hotter in the hip hop game right now than Eminem ? WAKE THE FUCK UP sincerely D.W.A.

  26. the recurring delays of detox is definately alienating the few fans that are left who are willing to purchase rather than download detox if it came out. surely the puppetmasters at Interscope and Aftermath would realise that. and while 'i need a doctor' seemed to generate hype and charted well to begin with it has slumped in rank and sales, and with the sub-par reception of that and kush by many, this will likely be another jam in the detox machine. i want detox to succeed so badly but as it stands it looks like it may suffer the same fate as the oft-delayed 'chinese democracy' by guns n roses if it ever comes out.
