  2. To be honest, this Dre beat sucks. Way too repetitive, Dre should be ashamed.

  3. Not a bad song at all, beat is a bit light but it's still nicely addictive and I fuck with it. Glad to cop new Obie material at least.

  4. For everyone hatin on this beat or whatever. The point is that it is an intro to the album and the beat sounds and feels just like an intro beat. The production is nice and it serves its purpose precisely. Good lookin Obie!!

  5. Would you rather have a shitty upbeat poppy beat? Get the fuck out of here. This is bumpin. No club beat, much better.

  6. Wack. This has to be a throw away beat/track like Drug Test. If Dre made this anytime recently then smh (but i doubt it)

    1. Actually drug test was produced by Dj Khalil.

    2. I know that but it was still a Detox leftover/throw away. That's my point that just like Drug Test this was most likely a throwaway/leftover track of some sort hence why it sounds "weaker" just like Drug Test compared to Dre's entire discography but thats only my assumption.

  7. Dr Dre is back to form with this beat .a simple beat built to perfection, and it's just an intro.

  12. Couldn't have put it better myself, 'For everyone hatin on this beat or whatever. The point is that it is an intro to the album and the beat sounds and feels just like an intro beat.' You'll have to remember this aint a big production song!

  13. I ll wait to hear the mixin version before talking, and dont compare it with deug test, this song is just made for laugh, they rap like shit..

  14. Even if it wasn't an intro track I still like it and it has that addictive factor he usually puts in his productions. Everything about it is on point. It has Dre's signature dripping all over it and some of his best shit is "repetitive", so come on. With that said, it is an intro track, and it's a damn nice one to have on a new Obie album. Save the hate kids and appreciate some shit once in a while.

  15. For a Dre production it's average. It's missing that special something that makes me go "DAMN!!!"

  17. This is probably why the fuck dre dosent release shit. All y'all pussy ass fuckers need to calm the fuck up and enjoy this shit. Let dre do his thing, support the nigga, not put him down.

  18. I like this too, perfect beat for an intro, would be pretty good for anything else too. Those two-note piano parts kinda remind me of Eminem's My Name Is, which might be what Dre was thinking making this song, since this is a re-introduction of Obie after a few years absence.

  19. this beat is average. all of you people need to get some perspective. you all are desperate.

  20. Perspective is putting things in context. Let's try it: it's an intro track for Obie Trice, not even Eminem or 50 Cent, and people erupt like mad because it's not absolutely banging or a remarkable beat. It's an intro track. For Obie Trice. The fact Obie scored anything he can put Dre's name on is surprising and putting in that context means I can appreciate it for what it is which isn't very much to begin with. If you guys apply impossible ass standards to this, then god help us if and when Dre drops ANYTHING in his name.

Anyone loudly shitting on Dre for this just proves Dre's point that anything he puts out will be condemned and put holes in his reputation. It's like he knows the wolves are outside salivating waiting for him to put out Detox so they can rip it apart no matter what he does, and they can't just appreciate things for what they are, especially against the mountain of shit shoveled to us as music these days. Detox is going to be a rap album with a collection of songs, not bringing the Shroud of Turin to life and putting $100 bills in everyone's pocket, and I'm sure him getting such a fucked up response to even an Obie intro track fuels exactly why he doesn't want to put out Detox and ruin his reputation even if he puts out the best hip-hop album of the year. Dude can't win because people are programmed to criticize and find ways to tear things apart than find ways to appreciate it. Can't blame him if he rightfully believes just not putting out anything will save his reputation, save his brand name, and save him from headaches because he had the audacity to tirelessly work on perfecting the best album he can possibly for 10+ years so we can enjoy it.

    1. Damn thats exactly how I feel, people just can't be happy unless theyre hatin on someone. The new "hip hop" artists have made them this way a catchy beat some repetitive lyrics one or two radio songs on the while album but the rest sucks, how many rappers can talk about selling drugs makin money and bad ass bitches before it gets old, fuckin impressionable people the new rap scene angers me most of it anyways while true lyrical artists struggle to make a name for themselves while big money record lables can push their bullshit to the public, and they eat it up anyways well said!

  21. Well said Plugin.
If we try to be logical - if Dre sticks to the basics - puts what ever lessons he learnt by studying music then he should still produce a classic timeless album. I am only considering that were are only getting crap albums this days so for his album to suck - it means it must be extremely bad. None of the current artists can really compare to Dre and his music and he has got nothing to be afraid of

Even if he releases the best rap album in the history or rap music - people will find fault in itl cos we are so used to listening to Lil Wayne and some new crap that we start enjoying it.

He should learn from JayZ - Jayz is always releasing something from time to time -some good some bad; but he is conforatable and i bet no one is judging him.

Did dre make a mistake by releasing chronic 2001; made it such a great album that you guys are just ready to shame him.
    comeon guys

If he wants to go pop - let him go [op - its his music - stop putting pressure on him - or else we will never hear Detox

  22. It's just about perspective. People not only expect Dre to finish Detox but they also demand it has to achieve perfection on some galactic level the songs birth into existence. It can't happen no matter what he does, but at the same time he can't put something out that disappoints, and that's why we're at where we are today. A guy of his stature who has given so much to hip-hop really doesn't owe us Detox, and I can only guess the sort of frustration wrapping around his neck that he spends so much of his time very thanklessly working and perfecting a cohesive album he knows is unfairly fated to be this massive disappointment regardless of how next level it is.

I get excited reading shit like Dre is studying the best classical composers like Tchaikovsky because I've always wanted Detox to go that way. Epic, orchestral beats led by piano key loops and melodies enveloped with these other sounds and structure nobody else does because nobody can do it like him. At the same time, it's a rap album, and that's all it can ever be. So you read shit like people erupting over an Obie Trice intro track not being this next-level awesome shit, it's proof that nothing can please them.

He should really accept that's the way it is, bite the bullet, put out Detox riding on the confidence that will come with the acclaimed reception of Kendrick's LP (which Dre will get a lot of credit for to the masses), and appreciate reality that even if Detox is received as this big disappointment, that shit goes away and then the album can be accepted and grown into the classic it is. It will be a classic no matter what and time has a way of brushing aside the fog of hype and allowing people, whether it's a year or five years later, that this is a milestone of an album. It's really just up to him and his attitude and the only and last hope I have for Detox seeing the light of day is Kendrick's LP getting the hype, acclaim, and mainstream embracing that came with his backing of Eminem's first two albums. To me that's really the last real hope for Detox because this guy is not releasing it on his own later if he hasn't yet. So let it get shit on when it comes out but let real fans who aren't jumping up and down to thrash Dre no matter what he does hop on it and let it stand on its own two feet without the bullshit hype because it'll be a classic no matter what happens.
