Before T.I. finally unveils his eighth studio album Trouble Man, the Atlanta rapper will drop the new mixtape F-- Da City Up on New Year’s Day. To tease the upcoming release Tip put out a mixtape trailer on December 20 and this week he followed up with a new clip, which finds him hobnobbing in the studio with Dr. Dre.
In the 50 second black-and-white clip T.I. is filmed as he records, while Dr. Dre hangs out, listening to the new music.
Tip says he's working on "developing that chemistry" with the West Coast veteran.
Speaking with MTV News, Tip said that the two were “creating chemistry” for the tape and that he wants to work closer with the West Coast veteran.
“Dre was here. He sent for me over to the spot. We really just turned up more than anything else. It was about creating chemistry," he said.
T.I. previously worked with Dre on the song “Topless,” leaked several years ago and supposedly intended for Detox. For now, he’s intent on developing their working relationship.
"Of course we can get together, he got hot beats and I got dope rhymes, so we can always get together and make music," he continued. "But for people to feel what we're sayin' and for it to sound like a party comin' through your speakers, you gonna have to create some chemistry. So that's what we spent more time doin' than anything else; developing that chemistry."

I know this is off topic but does the new mcdonalds commercial ripping of the still dre beat sounds similar except with a different structure

ReplyDeleteJuDwEi$eR
Why doesn't Dre sign TI and these guys to Aftermath. He's one of the few descent rappers around that are left. He is a way better lyricist than anyone else signed to Aftermath minus Em, and has outgrown this played out gangster bullshit. SIGN THIS GUY DRE
ReplyDeleteThat's what's up baby T.I is a beast dre should sign him to aftermath and hope he's on detox!
ReplyDeleteIm not a TI fan but I can see him on aftermath, the label is small but successful. It would help aftermath be back
ReplyDeletePlease tell me Dre didn't produce this wack track like some sites are saying.
ReplyDeleteDrefan since 91
I highly doubt it, this joint sounds nothing like any Dre production I've heard. "Some sites" will say anything.
ReplyDeleteMy niggaz relax that's a drummer boy beat
ReplyDeleteI fucking luv his shit but dr dre is muthfuckin beast
TI mix tape is gonna go AF for real tho
I see dre makin some gangsta hustling shifoe my nigga tip
Btw I'm jealous of him he got a bad bitch!!!!
Ya dig
Yea mr chow knows his nigger music, he basically is one himself. TI sucks why is dr. dre taking time off from detox ? Especially on a mixtape? I would hate it if he was on detox and even more on aftermath. We don't need bullshit artist on detox! We wasn't a west coast album
ReplyDelete@hater
ReplyDeleteI don't hate, much luv bruh!!!!
ti is a dope rapper end ov ,just hope the fact dre is at hes studio sessions mite mean hes finished hes own with detox ...shits gone real quiet regarding detox ,hope its the calm before the storm ""
ReplyDeleteyeah... hope its the calm before the storm... but you never know with the aftermath camp.
ReplyDeleteLets get one ting strait my niggaz me love me some dizzick and yall want to hook me up i be glad to take care of yallz ya dig ...tip to da shaft to da tip..datz how we nigaz asianz rollz u digz
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a drummerboy beat
ReplyDeleteIm sure dre didn't even do anything with the mixtape
Maybe just listened to it and get the feel. Or maybe it was a recording session with no dre beats just so dre can guide him through on how the record will sound
we can only wait till 1/1/2012
ReplyDeletei doubt dre has put in work on
ti's mixtape
sounds nice i know its But Dre I know u been keepin mum and don't want anybody to mention Detox but you were namedropping the album time and time again for the past twelve years don't blame the fans blame yourself u got plenty respect from us fans but don't tease us so many times just tell us a status update at least or come the fuck outta nowhere and put the shit out pretty soon ppl are gonna forget you exist again and u won't b able to use muthafuckas forgot about dre again since that was on your last shit so just come with or tell us whats the 411
ReplyDeletepeace
If Dre is doing work for TI now, which I just really doubt, then it'd only have to be because TI is putting in work for Detox which he did a few years ago (giving us some of the best reference leaks). It makes more sense TI is just volunteering for more work toward Dre's project because he's done it before and everyone wants the Dre co-sign to show off.
ReplyDeleteI would have to believe if TI scored Dre production on his mixtape, he would've said something by now and it would've been advertised. Look how long and how much hype that Dre joint on Slim's mixtape got way ahead of time when it was just a reused beat. Let's just assume TI showed up at Dre's studio again to ghostwrite for Detox.
Plus I'd have to believe Dre is putting work into Detox otherwise I just woke up in a weird ass world where Dre drops the only project anyone cares about so he can now produce joints for a Southern rapper that couldn't be more opposite his style. I don't think that's the case and showing up in the studio with Dre shouldn't blow up and get all this analyzing and speculation. You know how many people pop in to get time with Dre in the studio or put in work for his projects? Everyone ever.
Dr.Dre выпучкай уже свой Днтокс!!!! Хватит мучить людей всего мира!!! Russia+USA= can't wait Detox
ReplyDeleteDr.Dre+T.I hoooooooot bangin shitttttt. Чумовой бит и голос ТиАйПи. Dre is backkkkk
ReplyDeleteThe only reason dre is with ti is to get lyrics For detox that arnt gangsta, in return for one track on ti's new album.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Dre has to return favors to anyone who he has drop in to work on his projects. You get a call from Dre to help contribute to Detox or something else, even if you're a world-famous rapper, you go do it because he's a legend and probably want to learn how he does it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Dre had TI come to ghostwrite for Detox like he did years ago before all his jail stints, but if Dre is taking time out to produce joints for a Southern rapper with no connection to the WC or gangsta rap, hell has frozen over.
UZEE PLUGIN ANYONE I've been hearing rumors flying about not only a T.I. but also Dre collabo mixtape to be released tonight. Any truth to this? I hope so get back ASAP I hope so because 2011 was pretty dissapointing in Dre terms peace ouyt Happy New Year
ReplyDeletethe new track feat T.I form the mixtape ''Fuck Da City Up'' just came out :)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mY8VRsL1qI
ReplyDeletefor a mixtape and this type of a song i give it 4+ ;) finally produced just by DRE!!!
ReplyDeletedre needs to give his loyal fans something to get excited about ,without fans he like any other artist would be nothing, to many broken promises and false dawns when it comes to detox now its reached the stage where no body is allowed to mention it like its a bad word , i dont think fans would mind if dre gave a genuine heads up as to where he is with the album ...
ReplyDeleteoh man thank good we have some new dr dre music hahaha popped off with dr dre from T.I.'s mixtape
ReplyDeleteHappy new year Dre fans lets hope it's the year of the detox
ReplyDeletewere is the link for the mixtape?
ReplyDeleteVery average for a Dre production. And happy new year y'all.

Mr. Chow...I presume from your vernacular that you are not a fanatic of this Dr.Dre man. However; I vastly encourage you to just sample a few of his works and see if that changes your state of mind into appreciating some of his lifetime accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteBest regards, Clarence
My bad bruh wit my vocabulary, it's just I get use to
ReplyDeleteTypin like this ya dig, shit I love dr dre but u playas always hating on me, I'm only 14 and I know dr dre is real gangsta shit!! But don't be surprised, I'm the real fan shit I got some beats just for Xmas shit expensive AF tho
