  9. so u guys think Dre is 'exposing' these tracks on purpose? Knowing they wont make the final cut, AND the finished Detox will be far superior?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Mr.Prescription is dope, but it doesn´t seem like the chorus is finished. I hope Compton´s Sirens is great.

    ReplyDelete
  11. come on s get all the blessing you want and leak the whole album i dare you if its you unless you re koolo which i doubt are you ?

    ReplyDelete
  14. the beat is cool except it was too fast and the drums were repeative , and the chorus sucked

    ReplyDelete
  15. Woah .....wiz khalifa new album rolling papers beats r off the chain....Dre better step his game up or bell get run ova

  17. i dont give a shit about wiz khalifa papers i need only DETOX As Dre says in ''Forgot about Dre'' This is the millenium of Aftermath. It ain't gonna be nothin after that!So give me one more platinum plaque and fuck rap, you can have it back!!!!Only Dre can say does words one more time ; )

    ReplyDelete
  18. Song is bad as fuck! Some of you are idiots. Listen to it about 5 times atleast before you judge. Omg or just go listen to you Justin Bieber. My daughter has a cd I can upload for you if you would like!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Wow! Again that song is bad as fuck!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. that beat is hard as hell, bump it through some good speakers and your gud to go. This is a banger and its defo some heat

    ReplyDelete
  21. I really liked what D.O.C. said recently. He thought that the concept of Detox was to stop making music without content, to start talking about real things going on in this world so Dre could use his celebrity to provide some knowledge to the youth.

Because Dre was already at his best in 1999 as a producer(and I do think so). So the only thing he could have add is some quality lyrics. That, my friends, could have been the next step he's desperately tryin to reach. That could have been "The next episode".

But obviously, he took another direction. And for now, it doesn't work. So let's hope that our good doctor find a way back home even if he've to start from scratch.

Because INAD, Chillin and Mr. Prescriptions are way too soulless to make a revolution in the Hip Hop world.

I understand if anybody disagree with me. Because today, two generations are listening to Dr. Dre, and they don't expect the same things from him. I'm old school(29 years old) but I can understand that some of us like what he's doing right now.

    Peace

    ReplyDelete
  22. "even if he has to start from scratch".

    ReplyDelete
  23. The guy above me is right. The problem i feel with these tracks is the lack of substance. Look at kush that was a hot beat but the lyrics didnt have any meaning even tho it was a good flow, i would really liked to have heard the other version that they did, the 1 with the d.o.c writing it. anyway again this record is definatley fire but the lyrics are just abit empty for me. Still this will sound good in yr ride

    ReplyDelete
  24. Wow, this is like Rebecca Black level shit.

    ReplyDelete
  25. yet another shit record...

    black eyed peas bullshit

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sounds like corporate America is putting this album together. Not his lyrics, production, ideas. Sounds like a mix of different artist trying to make a forced classic album.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree with Souzai!!I think he is trayng to reach the youth with those wast songs, because many of them evan dont know who is he!Wast weak i watch ''still dre'' on you tube and and one of the comments was something like that ''i call myself a hip hop fanatic, and havent heard of this song till last week''!So i thing the good old doc knows what he is doing, and i just hoping they are going to be more beats like those from 90s.. (Sorry for my EN )

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's not a bad song....but is it great? Don't settle here folks...expect better...here's a suggestion Dre....

Keep it simple....your making your beats too busy...old school flow was straight gangster and to the point.....

    JMac

    ReplyDelete
  29. it is a bad song in every way

dre wants a commercial success he doesnt give a fuck about his fans, if he did he wouldnt have fired doc and scrapped the version of detox with topless on it

cant believe i have waited this long for some wannabe lady ga ga/fergie/bieber SHIT

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nice work S......let's hear Comptons Sirens......

    KDot

    ReplyDelete
  33. i really like the beats to these past two leaked songs but they could still use work. My main problem is that you can't even recognise dres voice in either song.

    ReplyDelete
  34. THIS IS A PRETOX LEAK. CALM THE FUCK DOWN. THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED TO BE ON DETOX.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have heard better songs from kim kardashian...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sounds like a damn pop beat, is this what west coast rap is now? I dont want to think Dre has settled for that but INAD tells me otherwise

    ReplyDelete

  42. Dont worry people "Chillin" and "Mr.Perscription" are 2 of the 1,000 songs Dre has recorded for Detox but wont use for the album as he never intended too. Expect a offcial single in June.

    ReplyDelete
  43. i think everyone here should say thank you to koolo aka notafraidtoleak for give in us mr prescription he said he will and he delivered

  46. koolo aka notafraidtoleak , he leaked everything since i need a doctor

    ReplyDelete
  47. shut up with all the "Detox is garbage" shit. nobody knows what detox is going to have on it aside from the two singles. you can't assume how the album is going to sound with a few random leaks here and there.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yo S when is Compton's Sirens coming...???? Is that a Detox song...?

    ReplyDelete
  49. ha ha this spastic "ghetto" david guttea fan cracks me up...

  55. Dre fans are going into Encore levels of denial here. Nah this is a joke, the real album material will come out soon etc etc. The leaks we're hearing are actually going down in quality, just an old man trying to do the Black Eyed Peas haha. It's embarassing, and hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  56. People need to stop hating and let Dre do his thing and enjoy the music for what it is. Im greatfull to Dre for even doing another album. "Another clasic cd for y'all to vibe wi" Fuck the haters Dre and do your thing lets make it go multi platinum, have some songs for the club and some tracks repping that gangster shit, u aint gunna please everyone, just do what u do best and keep them beats knocking. peace

    ReplyDelete
  57. All of these Dre leaks have been trash. Dre I AM VERY dissapointed in you I know you can do better.

    ReplyDelete
  58. what are the chances of the album getting cancelled as a result of all the negative feedback from the leaks (as its clear this will be the predominant sound of detox)

    thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  59. i dont think he really cares about the feedback, fact of the matter is they have spent too much money on it now, its gonna drop, real soon late april probably, the new website seems to suggest this, dre wants to be relevant again-by any means necessary, this is the reason for the new trance sound

    DETOX

    ReplyDelete
  60. Man this is some bullshit, for real. Anyone defending the pure auditory lameness of this record must be in another galaxy of denial. Just awful. If Dre wasn't on this, nobody would think for one second this was a Dre track because it doesn't sound like anything. Who the fuck could possibly think this was good in any way? This just sucks, period.

I mean, I know this is probably throwaway material, I know this may have came from just trying things, I can hear it's unfinished anyway, but to consider the idea Dre was into this record for any period of time is pretty disappointing. And by that I mean it's really disappointing. This supposed WC legend is approaching 50 and the last few leaks have all been really petty joints about getting fucked up in the club. This is where Detox is going after scrapping shit like Topless? This is gonna change and save hip-hop? Yo fuck that and keep your bullshit. I don't want it.

Doesn't mean Dre can't do a party record, listen to "Shit Popped Off", it even sounds classic. But something must've happened around 2008 cause the leaks I remember actually had me anticipating and believing in Detox that much more, these leaks are really making it hard for me to care anymore.

Really hoping Dre has real classics locked up and saved for Detox and sticks to what he knows. This party record idea isn't sticking, pure and simple. Doesn't sound like the production and last masterpiece of a WC legend Detox was always hyped to be. Makes you wonder if anyone in Dre's camp has the balls to say the truth to him about records like these.

    ReplyDelete
  61. CONFIRMED - MR. PRESCRIPTION IS 3 YEARS OLD AND NOT ON DETOX. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR FEENIN OVER LEAKS. THAT IS ALL.

    ReplyDelete
  62. How the fuck is that "confirmed"? Just because you said it? I mean you're probably right but not like you know more than anyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  63. HAAHAHAHA this song is obviously a throwaway track and niggaz getting all riled up over it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yo this beat HOT. Can't wait to hear the mastered version.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Let's all Boycott Detox til we hear a real Detox track!

    ReplyDelete
  66. THIS TRACK SUCKS BALLZ!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Seriously have any of you listened to this track with a good set of headphones or atleast some sort of system? Probably of bunch of idiots on laptops listening to the youtube shit quality. I mean the song is rough in parts cuz it obviously wasnt finished hence a LEAK! But damn this beat is tremendous and Dre's verse is solid with good flow. This woulda been the single they were looking for to just sell the shit out of this thing. Honestly I think Dre has his "Xplosives","Big Ego's" etc but he's having trouble with the single. This was THAT song. The song that puts this thing #1 for months. Yeh people like to throw the word sellout around like they are in the business and know wtf they are talking about but every album needs a selling point. If Mr Prescription was just that and another meh single came out (INAD) but the rest of the album was that classic shit we were looking for then who gives a shit. Its not like when I go back and listen to Chronic or 2001 I never skip a song or two and have ones I dont care for as much as the rest. The album is a classic but its not perfect as no album is. Why cant we just relax and see what Detox really has to offer as well?

    ReplyDelete
  68. june just makes since. and doesnt this track sound like dj khalil produced it?

    ReplyDelete
  69. You seriously are going by the audio quality to make a difference whether it sucks or not? Not for this I assure you. I listened to it a few times around on my (really expensive) set of professional headphones after playing it on my 5.1 set for my PC and guess what? Still garbage.

For real though, some of you guys have zero taste in music. This isn't a single. "Still D.R.E." and "The Next Episode" are records worthy of single release. I guess some of us have different standards of what "good" is.

    ReplyDelete
  70. If Detox Wants To Change Hip Hop it has to be something we never heard before...for example he needs go go cinematic, big sounds big drums and i dont mean orchestral, i mean huge sounds coming from all directions

    ReplyDelete
  71. I expected Detox to be cinematic because that's what Dre said years ago that's what he was going for. That's what got me hyped in the first place for this album beyond just expecting it. I don't know if I heard this or not, but I thought he wanted to get into scoring films and shit too, so it was a natural assumption at the time that Detox would be Dre's epic magnum opus.

I thought Dre knew what he was doing when he undertook this shit especially with the D.O.C. behind him. Elizondo split, Mel-Man's been gone for a while, D.O.C. finally got tired of Dre's bullshit too and left. Now I don't know what the fuck is left because let's be real: Dre can't do the same shit on his own. We all know it and others have said it a million times before. That's what started to get me doubting and the recent records he's put out and everything else has only confirmed it for me. I have hope, I have faith, but anticipating Detox isn't the same for me like it was a few years ago. I used to be happily excited for a huge, cinematic epic WC album, now I'm just hoping to god it's even halfway decent. That's sad shit but I still have hope I'm proven wrong.

I don't expect shit like 2001 because that's in its own category. Beyond the singles, Dre and Mel-Man's production and mixing on those records are insane and even today not appreciated enough. They're sparse, meticulously smooth, and signature Dre reverberating from every note. It's like hearing perfection and it's a good album because it goes all over the place. It was a team effort just like The Chronic. It's flawed in some ways, sure, but especially at the time when it first dropped, that whole CD was on another level when you first heard it back in '99. Shit was ahead of its time. Dre made that album to make an album without worrying about all this shit he's tripping on now, and he had D.O.C., Elizondo, Storch, and Mel-Man co-producing everything with Dre. That's why it worked so well. That's truth. Anyone who underestimates the direction, writing, and contributions those dudes put into all of Dre's shit when they were around may sadly realize it when they hear Detox.

Anyway... don't mean to ramble like I tend to often on here, but people really need to pay attention to dudes like D.O.C. and scrounge around for the old articles and interviews about Detox from years ago. For sure Detox then isn't Detox now and that's sad shit. Detox was meant to be the last epic WC masterpiece from Dre talking real shit like D.O.C. said, no lowriders, weed, or gangsta talk like 2001 (like Dre said), but I guess Iovine that fucking devil convinced him fun club/party records get the radio play and move albums, and it seems that's where Detox has been going for the last couple years or so.

Sorry for the long rant, I'm dopesick today and wish the doctor would throw us a record that put me in a good mood for once instead of being disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Cinematic sound would make me happy too, thats what ive been thinking how detox would sound this whole time, like a movie, some sophisticated live drums with some crazy sounds flying through my speakers smoothly and it fills the track up, and has those movie effects in it

    ReplyDelete
  73. All these crappy leaks that are coming out are probably unfinished records that were tossed out during the Detox recording process.

Every single person that has come out and said that they have heard some actual Detox material has said that it is unbelievably good. Right?

The odds that ALL OF THEM are wrong about it are very low.

So I still think Detox will be a classic.

However, I am getting irritated with how long it's taking and how much of a joke it is rapidly turning into with garbage leaks like this being thrust onto the internet.

I am a very patient person and I am reaching the point at which I won't even care soon. I'm sure a lot of Dre fans are approaching that point.

Just seems like bad business for Dre and Aftermath to keep delaying and pushing it off longer and longer while all along throwing a couple singles out and continually promising that it is coming.

Well Dre and Aftermath, I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN I'M PLAYING IT MY FUCKIN STEREO!

    I'M COMING...

    ReplyDelete
  74. Snoop said Detox was banging and done - in 2008. The thing is people have heard some of the shit and swore it's gonna be a classic, but which Detox are they talking about? Only Dre really knows what the records will be, and it's been years and years of supposed recording and producing hundreds of beats, and no doubt starting over or giving some of those beats to others. It wouldn't be a surprise to know 50's debut had a Detox beat or two, along with Game's or Bishop's. Dre gave the "Shit Popped Off" beat to Amerie after it leaked too. Don't forget Dre and Iovine were hyping up and promising Under Pressure for a single release a year ago and it turned out to get a negative response when it leaked. That's when the doubt started to creep up. The leaks this past year have not been helping, especially when the leaks used to be pretty banging themselves.

But that snippet in that one Dre/HP commercial in his studio sounded really enticing, so maybe the real Detox shit is gonna be on that level.

    fuck you dre

    ReplyDelete
  81. Just a thought guys but i reckon dre should make detox a double disc album with 12 tracks a piece. 1 side can be the club bangers he's making and the other disc is the west coast gangster shit. That way everyone is happy and dre proceeds in shutting the game down

    ReplyDelete
  82. Koolo's twitter and website's got taken down haha

    ReplyDelete
  83. nigga realized he gonna get sued when he saw UMG copyright and take down that record he leaked lol dre don't fuck around, he was one of the dudes suing napster back in the day, i dnno if anyone remembers that
