Dre and Swizz Beatz live (Video)

LAST NIGHT WAS SO EPIC. An unbelievavle night where Dre Dre actually came out of the studio with the newly wedded Swizz Beatz to relax and enjoy himself, play some exclusive music off his new album which many though would never come out and drink somes Tanqueray like he did back in the days at the Century Club. I’m telling you words can not express how last night went but hopefully you get an idea after viewing this exclusive video and checking out the photos.

So many to mention to sum up the night that were in the building and making the night complete like the Poolside fashion show, performances by Maino and The Rejectz, and celebrities like Meagan Good, Jerome Bettis Lil Mama, Black Wall Streets XO and a few video vixens with stank attitudes (lol Just kidding). The night was like an interactive concert with a whole lot of Patron, Grey Goose, Ace of Spades, Tanqueray and sexy women. I can’t wait to see what happens next week. Maybe *** Mummar Gaddafi and Osama Bin Laden will come out of hiding and show up and drink and get loose, who knows? LOL

  24. so slim said detox is 12 tracks, so far we have heard 4 and they have been terrible, i hope Dre cancels the album because if the remaining 8 songs have this hyper-commercial-pop sound Dre legacy will be tarnished

Dre should scrap Detox and focus on Planets

  40. Shout out to "S" for giving me more on Detox then Dre. Some of us appreciate whatever we can get. Waiting on Compton Siren patiently Thanks Again.

  41. Dre is making a massive mistake with his new approach, he is trying to appeal to the kids of today, by doing this he is isolating his real audience (the fans)-i have no doubt the album would have gone platinum if it had his signature sound (circa 2004 onwards)

Instead he wants to appeal to the pop market of today, this is a massive risk as there is no evidence that the kids today:
    a.even know he is,
    b.even care
    c,actually like INAD and chillin

Instead of coming across as an innovator, he is making coming across as an imitator(albeit an inferior one at that- gaga and BEP are better at the pop stuff)

If Detox comes out the way we will fear,Dre will get critically mauled and not achieve the sales he wants with the new audience (for reasons i have stated above)

He should stick to the sound he is known for(and what he is the master at)

very few artists are able to completly change there sound and make it a success, and i dont think dre can (chronic 2001, although it did sound different from the chronic, it was not a completely different transformation-like the detox tracks have been)

Good Luck Dre, your going to need it.....

  43. The bottom line is Dre has nothing to prove, he's a legend approaching 50, so why go out of your way to do club records just to sell CD's to kids? Something went wrong.

Somewhere along the way Detox got fucked up because I have a memory, and I remember Dre back in the day hinting what Detox was supposed to be this and that while also telling us what it wasn't going to be. This dude said a while ago he's over the gangsta and weed shit, but then he pops out Kush, and it's like man, what are you really doing this for anymore? You're approaching 50 and still rapping about weed and getting fucked up in the club? You're too old for the club. Do you even remember why you're doing this album or give a shit, or is it about proving you're still relevant to the new generation of hip-hop fans? If it's the latter, Detox is fucked up and explains why Dre would even bother with these club records like "Chillin'". Why record vocals and have verses written for it if he thought it was trash?

My point is Dre doesn't need to prove shit, he should've just stuck to Detox and shut out the bullshit outside his studio and from Iovine. He should've done a cinematic, big, epic, last WC album for the fans, talking real shit and speaking to truth and his legacy, like he was going to, because Dre doesn't need to give a shit about selling and radio play anymore. He's had his day, paid his dues, and already proved it all over again with his last album. That shit should be over and done, and Detox should've been for the real fans if he's retiring from the mic after this. That's my take on it and why I've been worried about the direction of this album as of the last 9-10 months or so.

    ReplyDelete
  44. You're spot on (guy above me)!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Ya know what I agree with Cosmic....hey cosmic how bout Slim da Mobsta video get paid....that's better than anything weve heard from Dre...gangsta old school......this new Dre is fucking Wack Shit

  46. havent heard it kal but will give it a try......

the music isnt bringing me back to this blog, its everyones post:
funny, informative, critical, worshiping, ignorant.racist...a bit of everything...

    ReplyDelete
  47. part 2 of the video is added

    ReplyDelete
  48. It's private but looking forward to seeing if they let us watch it. You can't hear much but hearing any Dre-certified Detox shit is better than nothing. $10 the second video takes place right after they spin those records, though.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Shit it's Chillin'. Fucken knew it and Dre standing there confirming it's on Detox... don't even know what to say. Told you dudes Detox is fucked.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Where did you watch part 2 of the video?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Search on YouTube for "dre swizz colony" like I did, should be the second/shorter video, whatever pops up.

Since Dre pretty much endorsed "Chillin'" on Detox, I'm given up. I'm now going to remain on this blog to convince everyone this album is going to be straight garbage and be negative because Dre had me waiting like 6-7 years for some bullshit. "Mr. Prescription" is also doing the opposite of convincing me otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  52. And here's a link if you guys are lazy. See this shit for yourselves.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pV_HC8xLdcg

Swizz: "New exclusive off the album!"
    Dre: "Produced by Swizz Beatz!"

    ReplyDelete
  53. SPEECHLESS...DRE HAS OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT =(

    ReplyDelete
  54. i know what dr dre is exactly doing
he knows detox cant live up 2 the hype so he uses other producers, so when detox flops he can say " well i didnt produce really anything, i wanted everyone to have fun with the record"

if i was him i would scrap it and say "you know what? ill admit it, i lied about detox for so many years but i just don't have it in me anymore"

fuckin jimmy iovine influenced dr dre for sellin this crap!!!! dr dre is going 2 regret this album years ahead watch,

im going 2 listen to my 2001

    ReplyDelete
  58. wow man im not looking forward for detox anymore im not a hater but this is convicing me that it wont live up 2 the hype.
i guess the only album good this year is the Carter IV. wayne dont disappoint us 2

    ReplyDelete
  59. There's enough evidence that Dre already had a Detox record or two ready years ago. Snoop on the record back in '08 saying Detox is done and it's banging. Dre saying years ago Bishop is gonna be all over it and we know he's gonna be nowhere on Detox now, probably replaced by Slim da Mobster since Bishop left the Aftermath graveyard over the same old bullshit. I mean, like I said, compare the fucking leaks. I know it's kind of bullshit but that can't be a coincidence. Ever since Under Pressure and Kush and everything beyond it up to now, things really feel different. Dre should shelve whatever this bullshit is and just do his thing, but even if he wanted to, Iovine wouldn't allow it. It seems Dre gave up and is just salvaging this myth by releasing a cop-out party record produced by everyone else but Dr. Dre like the dude a few posts above me said.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I never understood it but now i do. DETOX meant dr. dre would not make beats on his album, everyone else is. DJ Khalil, Alex da Kidd, Swizz Beats, Nottz, etc etc.. what happened to dre??? this is bullshit. Chillin chillin? wtf. Dont even release this shit anymore. Long live Nate Dogg and the g-funk era. Fuck this pop bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  61. so "chillin" will be on album? alright fuck u detox
    i gonna listen chronic again
    g-funk all day

    ReplyDelete
  62. With Nate Dogg passing, so did G-funk and WC hip-hop, because Dre fell off.

We still got DJ Quik and Warren G keeping the old WC shit alive but it'll never be the same after Dre releases this sell-out party record bullshit. If it's so bad that Chillin' is on Detox, then what's left? Should've done it for the WC and Nate, Andre, then at least your legacy would stay real, than doing a record out of obligation and selling CD's.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Anybody wanna start a Boycott Detox petition???

    JDILLA is the greatest

  66. Hope the planets album aint produced by swizz beats...man out of 400 songs he had for detox..CHILLIN WAS THE BEST SHIT HE HAD??..

    ReplyDelete
  70. what if the singles released or leaked are the best detox has to offer????

    ReplyDelete
  71. now that is a depressing thought....

    ReplyDelete
  72. fucking bullshi chillin ,chillin who drank all the liquor though, fucking shit lyrics

    ReplyDelete
  73. Lol @ anyone who thinks "The Planets" is actually going to be released. Are you fucking kidding me, after all this bullshit just to release his last real album, you think he's going to actually work on some conceptual instrumental record named after a planet? Dre couldn't even do the NWA "Not These Niggaz Again" reunion album.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I don't think Dre does anything outside the studio on time or by himself either. If his wife asked him to pick up his kids from soccer practice he'd be 10 hours late and then make someone else do it anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Planets is never coming out

Detox is coming out & will be the biggest flop ever (commercially + critically)

Hip Hop died a long time ago

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hahaha

Look at the way Swizz hesitates when Dre says "produced by Swizz Beatz". that's so funny, because it's like Dre is saying "this is not my stuff so it's normal if it doesn't sound that good".

And then Swizz has that little smile on his face thinking "this guy got me, if the audience doesn't like it, I will be the one to blame".

That's just the way I understood it...but still it's hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  77. yup
u hit the nail on the head

as a previous poster stated, WHEN (not if) the album BOMBS, Dre can justify it as an experiment with different producers

I guarantee there wont be one dre track on SHITOX

    ReplyDelete
  78. i think dre when making the song with swiss shit, was not convinced its a hit, what we see in the video is swiss shit selling his record to dre and dre seeing if its a hit in the club and dre was still not convinced it a hit when he said :produced by swisscheese

    ReplyDelete
  79. Does Dre really even care??? He does not even own Aftermath pretty sure Interscope does and honestly what has he done in the last 10 years. I'm afraid to say time may have passed Dre bye.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Shitox was fucking classic......cause that's exactly where its headed..

    ReplyDelete
  81. my collection of 458 dre produced beats ...fuck detox i,ll survive

    ReplyDelete
  82. You right about swizz hesitating.. I thought I was the only one that noticed that. Dre emphasized it was produced by "swizzbeatz". Like i said before, I don't feel Dre is comfortable with himself either. Maybe doubt is getting to him. He has been making poor selection of so called "bangers". My hope is running real low and that is sad cause to be honest here. I don't buy rap music or hip hop anymore but I was willing to make an exception with Detox. Looks like I wont be buying after all. Also about the comments people said about him with mel-man and elizonado is true. Once they left the chemistry left too. Mel-man had a huge part in chronic 2001 and xzibit bangers. Hell, they even went to court of that crap. Unfortunately, I believe dr.dre lost hope in himself. Dang...such a disappointment...

  90. Well I'm either in denial(like many other Dre fans) or my hope is all these leaks are out there on purpose in hopes to lower expectations of an album that could never live up to the near 10 years of hype.

    ReplyDelete
  91. your in denial mate

    ReplyDelete
  92. lets face it forget 10 years hype . when i listen to chilin ,chilin, first thought that come to mind is shit, shit music, lyrics all of it

prescription is the same, shit.inad is an eminem song.kush was acceptable ,average i say.but in all of this my questions is this ,if all the songs that we heard so far are by other producer, what was dre perfecting ????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  93. he was perfecting SHITOX

    ReplyDelete
  94. Had to chime in....I'm at a strip club in the D and they are playing Dre old school shit....no lie one of the tricks was talking about Inad and said man what was that shit..Dre fell off...it made me think damn Dre lost that gangster edge...Jesus....what is this world coming too....thank God she didn't hear Detox.....wow....can't believe this album is going pop...disappointing....Cosmic said it best detox is gonna be a disappointing...

And as I finish this on a side note...they are playing red red red wine.....jezzus we need some new tunes...anyway I'm out...time to get somedances....lata......

  96. Dre produced Encore/Relapse/Recovery, were those classics? No. I expect Detox to be on the same level - if that.

I used to have faith in Dre but now I'm going with the realistic and easiest answer. This isn't '99 when Dre had DOC and his production team side-by-side with him in the studio, writing and producing the shit he tweaked and perfected. This is Dre mostly on his own, totally lost, directionless, and second-guessing everything he does, feeling stuck because he kept opening his mouth promising a classic for the last decade but he just can't get there. When Dr. Dre calls Swizz Beatz to make tracks for his last album, you know something is fucked. No getting around it. Iovine is executive producer of Detox with Dre, and all he's supposed to care about it is numbers and money.

We all had ideal ideas and excitement for Detox because we believed in Dre. I believed Dre had impossibly high standards for the last album with his name on it, and wouldn't waste his time on any record unless he knew it was a perfect, certified, remembered classic. The last great WC album. I thought it took so long because Dre wanted it to be perfect and take his time while he worked on his other production obligations. Just let the ideas and records come and save the best for Detox. But now I feel like I grew up and see I was being too ideal. Detox was just this mythical IDEA, however true Dre's intentions were at the time, but he let the hype grow and grow for years when he's now saying he was barely working on it out of obligation. Dre wrote a big check he couldn't cash when the time came, plain and simple.

Now he probably figures Detox is just a fan-pleaser, full of energetic party and pop records, probably some dope shit on it, but certainly not the WC classic it should've been. He publicly said his intentions were for a big, cinematic, next level album talking real shit, no gangsta talk of "blunts and lowriders, that shit is played out" like he said.

This dude totally didn't want to do Detox. He's just doing it now because he thinks he has to, he's getting too old, and he's just going to put anything together and put it out. He keeps delaying it because he thinks he has it, gets cold feet thinking "shit do I really want to put this out, this is my legacy, I don't want this to be it", and furiously gets back in the studio to come up with BETTER shit. I bet it goes back and forth. I bet that's what Detox has been about the past year. I bet I'm right.

    ReplyDelete
  97. ^ I bet you you are right too. I hate to admit it, because I, just like you, have idealized both this album and Dr. Dre for an entire decade -- and now I'm seeing that alot of this shit seems to be a sham. I'm holding out hope -- but everything you said in your post sems to be absolutely spot on. It's really sad seeing your heroes fall.

BUT, if there is any hope, check out thi clip from Kendrick Lamar last week saying that Detox is a "classic." I know, I know, of course Kendrick Lamar has incentive to say Detox is tight, but the MANNER in which he descibed Detox and the amount to which he elaborated on it makes it really seem to be a sincere statmement. NO ONE would want to go on record saying praising this album if they knew it really was going to be shit:

  98. thanks for the link to the vibe video with Kendrick on detox, but...

Can someone PLEASE answer this question, cuz i asked something similar recently. WHY do all these artist and celebrities who have allegedly heard "Detox" say it is so amazing/CLASSIC/show stopping?

ALL we have heard so far as official releases go are just mediocre pop/hip hop joints like kush and INAD... and now Chillin!? And it seems like swizz confirms that its on the "upcoming dre album"

These new songs that we have heard recently do NOT match up to what other music artists are describing it as. And someone here also mentioned that the probability that all these celebs that heard detox couldn't be ALL wrong... so im confused.

Why do i feel so confused about detox based on these new songs (kush, inad, chillin)? Maybe I'm just hoping that these new songs are a decoy or some kind of distraction to make u think detox is going to be a shitty pop record... and then BOOM it gets released and it really is that classic WC shit we all have been waiting for... But i have a feeling that detox will isn't going to be what we all hope its going to be. Am i wrong? I really hope so.

  99. ^ BEST POST IVE READ ON THIS SITE. GREAT INSIGHT.

    ReplyDelete
  100. ^I'm with you, good post.

I find it really hard to believe that Dre thinks this songs are good enough to be on Detox.

And every artist who say they heard the album say it's already a classic, are they paid to say that or do they really mean that? Maybe Dre has 3-4 instant classics ready, who knows...

    ReplyDelete
  101. doggumentary is dopppe

    ReplyDelete
  102. lol kush, inad, chillin are all jokes to lower our expectations
You'll See Dre gonna soon release the REAL FIRST single and it will blow ur mind!

  108. S, when you say "these songs aren't on detox" are u referring to Kush, INAD, and Chillin?

I believe in you S. I cant wait to hear Compton Sirens. When do u think we can hear it? what else do u have in store for us? And also, do u know if detox is that CLASSIC Dre sound we are all waiting and anticipating to hear?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Always into something..hmmmm S well I hope thats the case. If by that we are talking about making records across whatever music style it may be in order to continue his productions in that same way for years down the road that would make sense. At the same time none of it is for THIS album of course. But it puts him out there in areas other than "west coast hip hop" which is pretty much what true dre fans want from THIS album. The music industry is a huge business obviously so if Dre is trying to touch into all different sides, whether its pop, techno, whatever you wanna call it then so be it. As long its not what Detox actually is about of course! We shall see...

  114. ^ Word. Thats good ass news to me. Its like a new beginning to Detox for me. thanks S

    ReplyDelete
  115. This S dude said Mr. Prescription was dope, like it was the real Detox shit we've been waiting for. So I don't believe him. He just stole Koolo's links to the leaked record. Big deal.

This S dude is full of shit. Of course INAD and Kush are on Detox, are you guys dense or have amnesia? S dude doesn't know SHIT, he's playing with you and telling you what you want to hear. Let's see him leak something, anything, that wasn't just leaked by Koolo.

If you're telling me Kush and INAD aren't on Detox, I'm telling you that you don't know anymore shit. Dre and others already confirmed it, Kush and INAD are a GO on Detox, and at this point it looks like Chillin' may actually be included too.

As far as all the famous rappers and people close to Dre saying Detox is classic dope shit, you gotta remember that there isn't one Detox album. Snoop said in '08 (I remember) Detox was banging and that it was DONE. The fuck that tell you? Detox was done. Detox got scrapped. Detox now ain't Detox then. Doesn't mean shit what these rappers say, do you think Kendrick Lamar is going to say anything but total praise for Detox, when Dre just took him under his wing? I'll believe in Detox when I hear it and it's classic. Until then, nobody really knows anything about Detox, except what Dre has confirmed.

    ReplyDelete
  116. ^ Thanks for answering my question about artist saying detox is classic.

But dre has also said that detox was going to drop at a certain time many times, for example xmas of 2010. nothing. he was also at the red sox game around April 2010 saying the jay z joint under pressure was coming out soon. still nothing. all we have is a leak with no chorus.

I understand your logic, and it makes sense. but i just don't understand dre and this detox shit. it just makes me frustrated, confused and concerned for detox cuz he doesn't keep his word on anything. I just wish he can say SOMETHING to us true fans instead of all this silence and secrecy. Its just confusing, frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I DON'T KNOW WTF TO BELIEVE ANYMORE!!! FUCK YOU DRE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. It isn't that confusing yet it is, but the simplest answer is usually the right one. But anyway, Dre treats his fans like shit, he doesn't seem to really care, which is why he never says anything. He loves getting love from a crowd and making promises for his ego, but you never hear or see Dre being real in an interview or connecting with fans. He's a filthy rich celebrity and hip-hop gatekeeper with a legacy his grandkids can live off forever, he doesn't have to be real and he isn't. Sad but true.

Detox is frustrating as fuck and I know it is because I've closely followed this for years and years. At this point I think it was all a hoax in that our expectations and assumptions were based on a farce. It's like, you don't even know how my face looked when I first read Dre say he was just doing it out of obligation this whole time. It killed my hopes all these years were about making a classic record and I started to understand shit for real. He didn't even want to do anything before so he wasn't. He loved the IDEA of Detox and years ago really wanted to do it, but as time went on and obligations for other artists came, I think he just lost interest and inspiration. Production is a job, it's work, and he works a lot. All this time, I think he was just waiting for things to come together and hoping he'd feel like doing it, but that never came for him. It might've since last year or so but he's still not inspired enough to really do it himself, and still subcontracting other producers to actually produce for it. This is a joke. Dre is the legendary hip-hop producer who doesn't produce his own album. A fucking joke. A lot of the old leaks are Khalil anyway (Topless, This is Detox, Could've Been You), they're not Dre songs. But Mike left, Mel-Man left, DOC finally left, and that's when Detox really died. You can't repeat a classic like 2001 when the guys who made it a classic aren't there with you. As we all know, Dre doesn't do shit himself. That's been the biggest problem with Detox. It's just a fact, like it or not.

Detox is a legend Dre created but it isn't real. That's what I've been understanding more and more the last couple years. It's hard for me to express my assertions and back them up because I have so much history, memories, and information in my head collected through the years about it it's overwhelming to explain every last bit, you know. But that's my take. Like I said, the real death of Detox was when Dre lost his team, and you can find and read this really fascinating and long DOC interview to hear his take on everything since the beginning.

Detox is Dre doing his very fucking best to fulfill a promise that he knows he probably can't pull off. That's his fault. Now the clock has run out and he's enlisting the help of everyone to close the sale and say he put out Detox. But I bet inside, Dre delays it over and over because he just fucking KNOWS it isn't good enough but with more time he can make it worth the wait for everyone. I think he has the hunger to pull this off but lacking what he had to actually do it. That's sad. I have faith in the doctor because I know he knows what he needs to do and he has a conscience about it. I know he doesn't want to flop and piss off fans with bullshit records. Detox is about making it good enough. But it was never what he made us think it was all these years.

  119. man some of u guys post long lame essay's. Geez. Hopefully detox is a double cd w/ dre produced track and one w/ other produced tracks. But i want at least 10 dre produced tracks.

    ReplyDelete
  120. This could very well be a double CD with a storyline behind the tracklist. Remember when Dre mentioned Denzel Washington doing narration years ago for a cinematic type album?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Bishop and (way later) Slim both said it'd be 12 songs long, and they both said it was for the same reason, fits the "12-step" theme. So I don't know, Dre doesn't do double-albums, and truthfully we can see he has enough problems doing one album of material. As stupid as it is, I think it will end up being 12 tracks.

I don't believe Dre is sticking to a cinematic album. I don't know what the fuck he's doing or been doing but I see everyone doubting Detox now. Maybe he'll pick up on that and get some confidence back or he leaked this shit on purpose for that reason (but I doubt it). If he let Detox be in the studio and kept his mouth shut, it would've been way easier to do that album the right way than letting it succumb to its own hype and smothering Dre's confidence with it. Shit is just stupid.

If Detox was cinematic, that Detox died when Bishop left Aftermath, because he was supposed to be all over it. I remember all that shit, go find any Bishop/Detox interview and see for yourself. Personally I think Bishop is the real thing, seemed Detox was on its fucking way the way it should've been, and couldn't believe Dre let him go so he can be replaced by this hood ass, corny Slim da Mobster character who'll end up buried in the Aftermath graveyard too. Fuck a Detox.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Nobody knows how many songs or which songs are confirmed. Shit, not even Dre knows at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  123. so this dude herd detox..he says its trancy ...we dont want trancy we need club bangers like before...this album gona be a waste of money

    ReplyDelete
  124. ^^noo... speak for yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  125. More likely to be 12 songs than two discs is all I'm saying. If it's not 12 songs then it proves Detox isn't what it was going to be.

    ReplyDelete
  126. wtf 12 songs this isnt a fucking rock album is it?

    ReplyDelete
  127. what the fuck are all u guys smoking?...do u think dre/interscope spent all the money on the inad video and leaked the other tracks just to lower your expectations for detox and then release a classic dre album?

sorry to dash your pipe dreams but apparantly detox is going to be "east coast trance/techno"

    ReplyDelete
  128. The ironic thing was that I heard Dre's first Detox got scrapped hella long ago because it sounded just like an East Coast album. I forgot who said it and where I heard it, but I know I heard exactly that a long time ago.

Dude above me is right though, to think these shitty leaks are all a giant marketing stunt to lower expectations is in another galaxy of denial. Dre is known to be super apprehensive about his music which is why he'll make 600 tracks that nobody will ever hear. Stat Quo even said he hates that Dre does that shit and wanted to leak all those hundreds of tracks he did at Aftermath (that are Dre beats) because he doesn't agree with how Dre sits on piles of music. That's also why Dre gets pissy when people leak his unfinished shit or the reference tracks that expose he doesn't write his raps. Dre leaking his own rough unfinished shit does not compute if you know anything about Dre.

  130. Chillin and Mr Prescription make Under Pressure sound good! listen to Chillin and then put on Under Pressure

remember last year when UP leaked and Dre made statements and pulled the track after the backlash from fans,
why did he then continue with this hated sound?

infact of all his shitty new pop records UP is the best of them

    http://www.nk6footrap.com/dr-dre-detox-repousse-au-9-mai-2011/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=facebook

It's a french atricle about Detox release date on may 9th ????

    ReplyDelete
  136. I speak some French so here goes (but perhaps a real French person should correct me too though).

The release of Detox, the highly-anticipated new album from Dr. Dre has been delayed to May 9th, 2011. The Doc had already posted a video confirming the date of April 20th, but it will obviously not be ready in time.
Recently, the superproducer pushed out a new Detox title, "Chillin'" in a duo with Swizz Beatz. Despite the small delay of two weeks, it seems that the Doctor has finally decided to release his new album...

The album has already suffered an "unofficial" delay of two months since the album was recorded on February 21st on the schedule sent out by Polydor/Universal, the label which distributes Aftermath (Eminem, 50 Cent) in France. The date isn't insignificant, the release of albums on Monday at the 21st approaches the Doctor's birthday. Andre "Dr. Dre" Young was in fact born on February 18th. One more reason not to delay the release of Detox.

So there you go. They don't base it on shit, or at least they're not exactly sharing it. Plus Interscope/Aftermath hasn't confirmed it for anyone else, nor did they really say they did. May 9th? Doubt it. But maybe. Who gives a shit though, Detox is gonna flop but sell a lot.
