  10. unrelated to this post, but does anyone know if the 2012 logo on the aftermath website with the chronic leaf covering the 0 is significant, particularly relating to release date? its not a link to anything but seems odd to just have it there without there being something behind it

  11. It would be funny if he had Eminem on a "Compton" track, more like Game or Ice Cube along with Kendrick.

  12. Sorry to say, that is NOT a Detox studio session, first off none of you find it strange Dre ain't there on his OWN album, secondly its a doggysode, we of all people should know Dre keeps his secrets to his grave, he wouldn't allow a taping of his sessions.

  13. ^ I question whether you have been following Detox at all. This is a detox session. It is well known that Dre has finally got Snoop and Doc onboard to start contributing to Detox again, and this is Snoop getting people together on his own to make tracks to submit to Dre. If Dre likes any of them, he'll take them and reproduce them the Dre way. That's been his process for the entire Detox record thus far. The problem has been that the records that he has been getting from people have been absolute bullshit, whereas these beats sounded BANGING.

Snoop says it several times in this video. Thy are trying to make 4 tracks for Dre, two being Dre solos and two with Snoop on it. Pay attention.

  14. ^^i agree with Bwash - plus in the first part, snoop gives a motivational speech near the end about detox etc

  15. Definitely a Detox session, how else could you explain why DOC is there with Snoop and Quik? He didn't come to LA from Dallas to hang out in the studio making other people's records. He's in the city to get Detox done and has said that.

The comment above Uzee's has it exactly right, Dre has subcontracted making the beats to other producers, and DOC is pretty much there to babysit and make sure anything they want to submit is banging. Dre doesn't need to be there for that because that's not what he does. Didn't you notice how the beats they're making sound eerily similar to the WC style/piano beats Dre is famous for? If they can come up with something hot, Dre decides if it's good off the bat, and if it is, he gets to work reworking and mixing it to his liking. That's how it's been this entire time, pay attention.

As for how there are no videos of Detox sessions because Dre keeps his work method secret (thus this can't be a Detox session), you answered your own question: Dre isn't there. If Snoop is assembling his own impromptu sessions in the studio with other guys to bang out what Dre needs for Detox, he can video it if he wants. It's Dre that's secretive, not Snoop, and this is Snoop's session.

  16. I want to say that I'm finding the last two doggiesodes very entertaining and I feel like they should be getting a lot more than 39,000 views.
