  2. This single better be.

    1.Produced/Co-produced by Dre.
    2. Raw/Hard. I'm not talking it has to gangsta.
I mean it has to have a real hip hop vibe. It can't be poppy/corny like "I need a Doctor". and "My Prescription"

    Drefan since 91

  3. It won't be produced by dre or written by dre he hardly writes or creates any of his own songs

It's all thanks to Mel Man, Sam Sneed, J Flexx, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, The D.O.C., Hittman and Jay-Z just to name a few.

Like come on dre 27 years in the game and you can't make a solid solo single by yourself?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yes, finally new music, not only rumours about release date...

    ReplyDelete
  5. Like come on dre 27 years in the game and you can't make a solid solo single by yourself? <<----->> How Can You Say This ?? :O Are You An Idiot ?

    ReplyDelete
  6. you know, the fact the dre didn't leak the song before officially releasing it (like he did with kush or inad), in order to check people's reaction, proves that this song will be good... it will be da bomb :D

    ReplyDelete
  7. You think it will be song that u can sort of box to?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Produced by Dr. Dre [official]

    ReplyDelete
  9. This single is really important. It has to be a hit or Detox will be delayed once again. I hope this is what we all been waiting for!

    ReplyDelete
  10. wait 3 detox singles? already
that means that either kush or inad
arent going to be in the album

im not making anything up, its common sense
in a way why bother putting 2 eminem singles
    basically lol

    ReplyDelete
  11. Its going to be much better than INAD & Kush, cuz they got leaked. This is a single that Dre wants the world to hear.

    ReplyDelete
  12. u guys think this song will be the one dr. dre used the sample of the La Roux track "In for the Kill" for?

    ReplyDelete
  13. produced by dj khalil

    ReplyDelete
  14. Lol cant say whos the producer unless u got a source.

    ReplyDelete
  15. AHHH!! Finally, dont want to get my hopes up on this but its been months...I was beginning to wonder if we would get anything before summer ended

    ReplyDelete
  16. Finally something from Dr Dre I look forward to it. I still wonder when the hell Detox will come out but perhaps Dr Dre is releasing various singles to see people's reactions and to get people thinking about him again. When he's satisfied with the fans responses maybe then he'll finally put Detox out. I mean we know now that Dr Dre has worked on this album countless times, supposedly late last year Detox was practically done (in the mixing stage). So I get the impression the only reason Detox isn't out still is because Dr Dre isn't satisfied enough to release the album but come on Detox isn't going to be perfect many will love it many won't.

    ReplyDelete
  18. this is so funny so now the song is not a detox track????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahahaha

ive grown grey hear since i heard of detox and still its not out

    ReplyDelete
  19. elliot wilson is not the end-all-be-all. MTV, Billboard, every site with the news says this is THE THIRD OFFICIAL DETOX SINGLE. a major site like that typically wouldnt claim that without checking it. + the ad says "Dr. Dre's new single"...so..it is a detox song just maybe not an official single i guess.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Why would dre release the "single" if it wasnt for his album? (no sarcasm) hope this single isnt a bust

    ReplyDelete
  21. die hard is basically going to describe how detox is going to sound like
it is going to die hard
    the album is going
    to flop big time !!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. iWant Friday to come already so it can shut these fuckin haters up already!! Detox iz gonna be the SHIT and to everybody who saying it's gonna flop, suck, disappoint etc. 'Die Hard' will show them what's up and get them to remember Dre. People acting like they Forgot About Dre.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hey Detox2012 ! You sound like a hater but your name says the opposite thing. So, why you bother checkin' this blog if you think "Detox" is going to be a flop? Fuck out of here man ! We don't need no haters like you.

    ReplyDelete
  24. This is it folks! Finally an official single from dre. All these other songs have been unfinished leaks and the fact that the announcer said it is proof enough. I can't wait for this, it's going to be epic. Also it's featuring eminem which tells me INAD was not an official single either. I think the song is going to have that big cinematic sound like some of us have been talking about on here. Think about it, its going to be premiered on a huge weekend for boxing so it must have that adrenaline, rocky type epicness. Uzee what do you think? I'm thinking dre is almost making this album an album to motivate people? The workout/hard work theme has been appearing in some of his work

    ReplyDelete
  25. I THINK THIS WILL BE THE MOMENT OF TRUTH. I HOPE AND THINK THAT THIS SINGLE WILL PUT ALL OF THESE HATERS IN THERE PLACE. I THINK "DIE HARD" IS GONNA SET UP DETOX FOR A SUMMER RELEASE. THIS COULD BE THE FIRST OFFICIAL DRE PRODUCED SINGLE. LETS HOPE SO. WE NEED SOMETHING HOT TO KICK OFF SPRING/SUMMER MONTHS WITH. HIP HOP NEEDS THIS

    ReplyDelete
  26. ^AMEN!!!! haha i would 'like' your comment if i could

    ReplyDelete
  27. damn its been 2 months since i came here
but i gotta say detox is a dissapointment
    you guys are idiots lol
ill be laughing when you guys complain about
    die hard.
dr dre is a sell out

    ReplyDelete
  28. we r the idiots lol^^^

Do idiots judge Detox album before we have even heard it? lol

BTW like i said before, it is now confirmed that Die Hard is not the next single for Detox.

    ReplyDelete
  29. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS THEN IF ITS NOT DETOX SINGLE ? THIS IS LIKE RELEASING MUSIC WITHOUT THE 10 YEAR TAG SICKED TO IT SO NO CRITISSISM
OR THIS IS JUST TO KEEP SELLING MORE HEADPHONES OR WHAT?

    ReplyDelete
  30. AND WHY IS FUCKING INTERSCOPE CALLING THE SINGLE RELEASE NEXT FRIDAY (WORLD PREMIERE)IF ITS NOT DETOX RELATED? WORLD PREMIERE OF WHAT EXACTLY ?CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME PLEASE!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. ^^ lol errrmmm - marketing?

    ReplyDelete
  32. lol the announcer on the programme it's premiering on called it 'the brand new single from Dr. Dre', then Dre quickly says it's not the next single. What the fuck Dre, make your fucking mind up. You can see there's no communication by Dre to the rest of Interscope, or it would never have been called the new single on the programme advertising it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. world premiere my ass its probably produced by i dont know who but defently not dre

MY QUESTION IS THIS TO YOU UZEE WHY IS IT THAT WHEN ITS SOMETHING ABOUT DETOX ITS QUICKLY AND SWIFTLY SHOT DOWN JUST LIKE THE (4/20 BABY CRAP)AND NOW DISTANSING THEM SELVES FROM THE SINGLEAS BEING A DETOX SINGLE????!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dre is just a pus***
We have waited this long for this sh** and now I cant take it anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Now I know why we don't hear from any of the consistent contributors anymore...ie (cosmic, JMac, The red wiggle) and how can I blame them? This has gone on long enough...no album will everlive up to this hype

    ReplyDelete
  36. Die Hard sounds great for the mosley vs pacman fight, i remember emeinem used Not Afraid for last years fight with mayweather vs mosley. sounded great.
Dr Dre should also use this single for the NBA Playoffs for TNT, it would just be perfect
    or the NBA Finals!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Do ppl think it would be kind of a boxing anthem?

    ReplyDelete
  38. whatever it is going to be - i just hope it lives up to expectations.
I think Dre took way too long and he is now afraid the album might be a flop.
Most artist that made a comeback were not so succesful, hopefully his album will be different.
If he keeps to the real hiphop beats , then i am happy, if he goes to create an album like eminem then it wud be a dissapointment.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Uzee... before u asked us which dre track we like the most... maybe now, before 'die hard' will be released, just to make something happen on this blog, ask people which featuring. Dre track we like the most? what do u think?

    ReplyDelete
  40. ^^this has already been thought of. Plus other ideas too.

And i would do it after 'die hard'. When everything calms down. Plus dont want to be doing the question track posts too much.

    ReplyDelete
  41. wait, let me get this straight, this is NOT a detox track?

i mean can you believe this? what the hell is it then? this is truly becoming an embarrassment for dre. are you kidding me?

i am (or i should say, was) a huge dre fan. this whole detox thing has soured my admiration for this guy and (as much as i hate to question his skills) i think he has lost it.

this pretty much cements my thinking that detox will NEVER come out.

one more thing...(and i never, ever thought i'd say this)...

    FUCK YOU DRE!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. this detox thing is fuckin hilarious. it's like a soap opera and we are the stupid housewives eagerly following it.

i have figure out dre's plan though:

he has ZERO intention of releasing it because it doesn't exist anymore. THERE IS NO DETOX ALBUM!

the only reason he keeps feeding us there bullshit tracks and releasing these stupid leaks claiming to be from "detox" is to keep himself relevant.

    Why you ask?

to see those fuckin headphones! that's it. it's that simple. it's all a marketing ploy for the headphones.

(it worked too cuz i did buy them. i can't say i'm disappointed with them though, they are pretty good.)

anyway, my point is, i think we can all stop hoping for detox now ... it has ZERO chance of coming out because it DOES NOT exist.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lets wait for tomorrow, hear what "Die Hard" is all about

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think Detox is planned to be released very soon, possibly in june or August. Couple of weeks ago, Dre twitted that Detox is coming soon, then the "Die Hard" track, and last day Swizz Beatz received the "Detox Pro headphones" as a gift from Dre with the full packaging. Detox is coming!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Remember Dre doesn't Tweet, it's his PR/Marketing team.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yes, I know, It´s written on his twitter: "This is Dr. Dre’s official Twitter page. Dr. Dre does not tweet"

    ReplyDelete
  47. sorry folks that was a fake track haha

    Post removed

    ReplyDelete
  48. ^What post?? I must have missed it...

    ReplyDelete
  49. detox is coming summer ,when summer comes ,detox september, september comes, detox 2012 and so on mean while a lot of headphones for rich folks are being sold , personally i cant aford them but detox i can buy it but its not comming out

    ReplyDelete
  50. The guy who said this is all about selling headphones has it right. I check this blog still but way less often because I just don't care anymore. I've been following Detox for about 7 years but Dre is obviously about making way more money off headphones than cashing in on CD's, which is his right, but fuck a Detox. Selling "Detox Beats" headphones is marketing, doesn't mean shit, it just fools you people while he laughs all the way to the bank and tosses out another throwaway track out of his vault to get you worked up. He figured Detox is all but pointless now and he's smartly using its hype to sell Beats instead while you people eat it up. Detox will come when Beats sales dip down - mark my words. It's business.

Beats are a ripoff anyway, for $350 you can do way better. They have decent low/mid-range quality but that's about it. Celebrity-endorsed bullshit is never the best for the money, it's brand marketing, and it works. All this Detox bullshit is one big commercial.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Detox = marketing ploy to sell headphones, not an album.

    Sorry guys...there is no Detox!

    ReplyDelete
  52. U know what's the most funny about all the headphone business? Dre said many times he represents the streets, the ghetto. He always underlines that he is from compton. But then why the fuck he sells so damn expensive geadphones that so many people can't afford? If he wants to do something for the streets, he should lower his profit margins and let all people enjoy his products. dre became a joke. He has no dignity, all he cares about is money. Detox won't be a gangsta/street album like The Chronic or 2001. It will be an album with cheesy, pop, club music that rich children, who want to feel gangsta, will listen to... Fuck Detox. Respect to real rappers who represent their people. Respect to Mobb Deep, Too Short, Krs One, D.O.C. But no respect to Dre. Fuck this guy.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Dre aint gansta because he doin big buiiness? lol

JayZ and Diddy were doin their business and makin money from perfumes, clothing lines, sneakers etc.

Dre did do business, and also stuck to what he loves - music.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This is one big endless cycle......same shit for the past 5 years....i just cant believe people continue to follow a has been.....it's sad.

    ReplyDelete
  55. This may be the lyrics of the songs http://www.sweetslyrics.com/867686.DR.%20DRE%20-%20Die%20Hard%20Ft.%20Eminem.html !!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. The examples you gave Uzee, aren't the best ones really. Puffy was one of the main rappers to commercialize hip-hop and his album "No Way Out" (which by the way, is the gayest shit ever) is the best example of that.

In terms of Jay-Z, he isn't gangsta for shit. He doesn't represent street. He doesn't represent anything. But at least he is a good musician, Puffy is just awful...

And you can't stick to music if you don't stick to the values that mean something... music without this values, without love for other, is meaningless and is shit... the latest leaks from Detox prove it... and don't tell me that u liked Mr Prescription or Chillin', cos I won't believe u...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Whatever we think of each artists music - the artist himself thought it was worth a release.

Doesn't matter what we as individuals thinkn of their music, Dre still stuck to it in terms of products.

    ReplyDelete
  58. everyone has a breaking point at which they get fed up with waiting for an album that so obviously doesn't exist ...

my question for Uzee is: when is your breaking point?

that is, when (and by that i mean an actual time period) will you say enough is enough and realize that "detox" isn't for real?

i'm sure you're not dumb so i'm sure in your mind you have to have a breaking point at which you will finally give up and say, "DRE HAS JUST PLAYED ME"...

    i have certainly reached mine...

(although i guess if you ever reach that point then this whole blog is meaningless as it is built around the most famous mythical album of all time: "detox")

    ReplyDelete
  59. damn Uzee, are you like Dre's butt buddy or something defending everything he does? hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  60. What time does that song play Die Hard. I wanna check it out on youtube tomorrow.
I dont like the lyrics, it doesnt even show who is singing which part; but I am sure Dre is only singing the small part on it. Just gay

    ReplyDelete
  61. breaking point?

the difference is there are some fans that are thinking too much about it.

Just because i have this blog and post details, doesnt mean i'm obsessed. For fans...the blog/twitter should just notify you of any updates, instead of crazy fans searching themselves and wasting time with over-obsession.

I dont know my breaking point, why? because im not thinking THAT deep lol.

    ReplyDelete
  62. The Album will come out this year in the summer or mouths before the grammy awards .. He can always release a album he have 100 of songs for Detox but you know he wants to be purfect so you must wait . In the End of last year he officiali said that he is 100 % ready and Detox will came out soon ... Back in the years it was just a rummor he never said album will came out ; )

    ReplyDelete
  63. ^ Uh yeah he did. For instance, he said it plainly on a video it was coming in like September '05. It got scrapped without any word or hint for the fans. I mean holy shit Em's "Encore" album mentioned Detox coming. Same with Game's album.

Dre has talked about Detox coming out plenty of times. What was all the "4/20 baby, I'm coming!" bullshit? He didn't have to do that to get fans riled up just to knock them down when the day came and went without anything. I mean I knew nothing was going to happen, but really, why do it? Shit is stupid. Dre is stupid. You're stupid.
