  3. So, will this be on Detox or not?

  4. oh god i feel it the dissapointment is kicking in!

  5. Not Good, we need the D-R-E produced tracks

  6. If that is true Detox will probably be released in March. I also think Dre will perform at the grammy award.

    ReplyDelete
  7. ^^ that would be great if he performed at the grammys.

  8. Apparently, "I need a doctor" will more likely be on an additionnal album from eminem. Just like refill was to relapse

  9. yes maybe thats what it is. When the track leaked it stated everywhere Eminem feat Dr Dre.

Later when alex da kid spoke about the track to maybe be part of Deto, then it was renamed to Dr Dre feat Eminem.

    Soo confusing and unclear.

  10. i remember when dr dre said back in november the album was going to be done by the of end of 2010 and 30 days of mixing process so we can expect detox soon

    ReplyDelete
  11. oh cmon now ur being picky with the release. End of 2010 start of 2011, is their really a big difference?

    ReplyDelete
  12. i need a dotor dre produced song! a third single may be?

    ReplyDelete
  13. ^^dre didnt produce it. Alex Da Kid did, the same guy who produced:

    Bob's 'airplanes'
Eminem's 'love the way u lie'
    T.I's 'castle walls'
    Diddy's 'coming home'

  14. uzee i mean I NEED A DRE produced song!!!!!!!!!

  15. yeh second that with regard to the Alex da Kid produced "i need a doctor". Perhaps Im expecting too much or maybe livin in the past, but from a Dre production I need that G-funk west coast sine wave synths, or intricate piano-rolls and violins, classical A-minor string hits, low basslines and the atypical Dre kick-snare-hat. Just dont believe the Alex da Kid sound belongs on a Dre record, no disrespect to either Alex or Dre, Dre's the greatest and I will respect Dre's decision because his vision has silenced all critics in the past with quality beats, and perhaps a higher quality version of the beat may grow on me. J-mil

  16. ^^ I second this. i think this belongs on an Eminem album, it just doesn't have the Dre sound.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Exactly, we need dr. dre produced songs. On 2001 he had just one song produced by somebody else. If this drops on detox that will be two along w/ kush that aren't produced by dr. dre. I need that chronic sound and that 2001 sound back. some g-shiiiiiit.

  18. look bro - in '2001' although Dre produced most of the stuff, he always had Mel Man by his side.

    See what happens : )

  19. Hey man, all I know is that it's like Eazy said way back in the day, "Dre makes the beat so god damn funky.." Whether he has help or not, he makes sure it's good shit. Come on Dre drop this album!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Dre writes 20% of his beats! Yella, Mel-Man, Scott Storch, Mike Elonzo.... they all wrote Dre's biggest records. Dre is no DJ Muggs, RZA, Alchemist, Daz. They physically write from the ground up. Every kick, snare, bassline, chords.... Dre has people do the creative harder work on songs, he chooses what he likes from a list of 100 tracks, so then all he has to do is come into the studio, where everything is layed out and fired up for him on the multitrack, engineers all around him, twist a few knobs, tell an MC to do it again, and then write his name on the booklet. History tells the story. It don't lie. Now.... educate yourselves before you fire back at this comment. Go have a listen to the tracks that Dr. Dre soley produced. Did they become popular??? I have over 4G of 320kbps MP3s converted from my Dr. Dre CD/LP library to prove anyone wrong!

  21. just cos u got every track dont mean its solid proof.

No nones needs to argue with you. Because it wont ever finish or lead anywhere.

I'm assuming then that u dont want to se Dre produce any tracks for detox right???? lol

  22. We need the westcoast sound back. And frankly Uzuee you don't understand what the westcoast sound is, because you are not from the westcoas or the states.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh wow how narrow minded can u get? Judging me because of my location lmao.

Im open minded to changing music.

    ReplyDelete
  24. man you are in scotland???

common man. You have no idea what's going on with music overhere. The westcoast underground etc. etc. All you do is google stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Regarding LA underground scene im also into flying lotus. Whose album i think is the best LA based album in 2010. Thats wot i call the future of LA sound. U see i judge music by listening. Simple

Take it ur into Flying Lotus right?

  26. This corny track better not be on Detox. It's even more unoriginal and poppy than that corny Kush track.

    Drefan since 91

    ReplyDelete
  27. Corny is not the word. These niggaz have gone pop! Only a few niggaz keeping it real these dayz in the music. Ice Cube, Ice T, Mobb Deep. They dont have week ass pop songs floating on MTV or Smash Hits!

    ReplyDelete
  28. eyy... that's bullshit... u say Ice-T didn't go pop, but that's cos he didn't release an album in ages... every artist, with time becomes more mainstream orientated. if u r really so keen on listening to real street rap, listen to some new guys or some underground staff... just check out guys like Nipsey Hussle... of course, there r some more experienced rappers, who still keep it real and straightforward, like Masta Ace or KRS-One, but they r certainly rare

  29. Flying lotus is experimental electronic music, it is not westcoast underground. flying lotus is listened to by guys in the u.k. as he released his album there first. explains why you like it so much. But it's not reflective of the westcoast sound or what is played overhere.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Another group coming back who have always kept it real...Naughty by Nature...check out 'Tha Mixtape,' and single 'Flags,' featuring Ice-T...massive Westcoast fan, but you gotta appreciate these guys. Plus DJ Kay Gee is coming back to the group and the single, flags was produced by him. He proves that hiphop artists don't have to buy into synthpop to make a solid, bangin' beat...plus, listen to an album called 'Sacrifice,' by artist Substantial...two years on, and it still sounds awesome

  31. flying lotus is not west coast!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Flying Lotus might not SOUND west coast, but he is the future sound of LA.

Flying Lotus may have first made his break in the UK. Nothing wrong with that.

Just like Alex Da Kid, he recognised in USA because of working wit american artists. But in UK folks aint seen or heard of him much.

    ReplyDelete
  33. flying lotus is not hip hop, its experimental, electronic music. Come to the westcoast and you will find out what kind of vibe there is here. It's too hard to understand what kind of music is "westcoast" when you sit behind a laptop in Scotland.

    ReplyDelete
  34. i never said that flying lotus was west coast, please read my reply carefully : )

Im open minded to anything. Thats all im saying. If detox is westocoast thats fine. If it aint, then its still fine.

As long as the album sounds great thats all i want.

I remember a poll was created here 2 years ago about the type of sound folks would like to hear on Detox.

I might bring that poll back again, as times changes dont thinking changes.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Man you wrote flying lotus is the future sound of la.....

how in the world is that not stating its westcoast. Come to los angeles first and listen to what people like overhere and get the feel for the vibe here. Dr. dre is a westcoast artist, who develops westcoast artists, who produces westcoast beats. Flying lotus is good for the experimental crowd, but in now way is it hip hop and much less the future sound of la. get out of here with that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. yes i wrote "Man you wrote flying lotus is the future sound of la", but i didnt say he is the future of the west coast sound.

    Just calm dude.

    ReplyDelete
  37. La is the west coast not the east coast .. " flying lotus is the future sound of LA " where is LA it's on the west coast Pretty sure ur saying that flying lotus is the future west coast sound with that one what else could
    u hav meant by it

    ReplyDelete
  38. yes ur right La is in the west coast. Bit i wasnt talkin about the location, i was talkin terms of sound. Sorry for the confusion.
